The Coxswain

The person who steers the boat and is in charge of the crew. A good coxswain is intelligent, confident, spirited, and capable of motivating others, even in the face of dwindling resources (both physical and mental). The coxswain must possess a strong sense of their surroundings at all times and be able to anticipate every possible scenario and the corresponding outcomes, as the success and well-being of the entire crew depends upon it.
